Sidorela and Thomas came to eEvents with a clear vision: to create a luxury wedding in Albania that beautifully merged the natural serenity of the Meliá Resort Durrës gardens with the timeless elegance of an indoor celebration. Their dream was to host a day that felt intimate yet refined, where every element, from the outdoor ceremony under the pines to the candlelit dinner in the golden ballroom flowed effortlessly together.
We began by studying the venue’s natural rhythm: the way the Mediterranean light filters through the trees, how the red velvet drapery and marble details of the ballroom reflect warmth and sophistication, and how floral textures could bridge the two settings. These early insights helped shape our design approach, a modern destination wedding concept that balanced nature, architecture, and atmosphere. The result was a celebration that embodied understated luxury and timeless style, perfectly aligned with the couple’s vision and the signature aesthetic of E Events and eFlorals.

For Sidorela and Thomas, celebrating within nature wasn’t just an aesthetic choice, it was the heart of their vision. eEvents and eFlorals collaborated to design a destination wedding in Durrës that embraced the landscape’s Mediterranean rhythm while maintaining a sense of polished elegance. The outdoor ceremony unfolded beneath a wooden pergola wrapped in cascading greenery and white blooms, creating a frame of effortless romance against the pine trees of the Meliá Resort gardens.
One element the couple insisted on was the Birds of Paradise flower, a bold, architectural bloom symbolizing joy and freedom. It became a defining feature throughout the floral story, appearing in both the ceremony arch and the indoor centerpieces, where eFlorals blended it with hydrangeas, roses, and textured foliage for a balanced, modern-tropical look.
The design philosophy centered on organic structure and sensory detail: a natural pathway guiding guests from the outdoor vows to the softly lit ballroom; warm wood tones and soft ivory linens linking the two environments; and candlelight layered to echo the golden hour glow outside. Every texture, tone, and bloom was chosen to create continuity between landscape and architecture, allowing guests to move seamlessly from nature to celebration.

The finished design felt like a living, breathing extension of Sidorela and Thomas’ personalities, elegant, joyful, and effortlessly natural. Every zone of the event flowed seamlessly into the next, from the outdoor ceremony framed by greenery to the indoor reception bathed in candlelight. The harmony between the two settings created an atmosphere that felt intimate yet grand, personal yet timeless.
Inside the Meliá Resort ballroom, eEvents transformed the space into a warm, cinematic dining experience. Long tables draped in soft ivory linen, wooden cross-back chairs, and floral compositions by eFlorals featuring Birds of Paradise, hydrangeas, and roses brought continuity from the garden to the ballroom. Candle clusters, golden lighting, and reflective glass accents enriched the space with depth and movement, while delicate stationery and personalized menu cards added a bespoke touch.
Every detail, from the lighting choreography to the texture of the floral arrangements, was chosen with care and purpose. The result was a wedding that not only fulfilled the couple’s dream of a Mediterranean-inspired celebration but also reflected the evolving artistry of modern Albanian destination weddings.
